Each June a diverse group of freinds get together for an annual hillwalking weekend (usually accompanied by a few refreshments and the occasional game of cards.)  The 2004 outing, which we think was the 20th Anniversary, was to the Arrocher Alps.  An excellent day was had on the Cobbler on Sat 12th followed by a more leisurely stroll along the West Highland Way on the Sunday

Sadly these trips will never be the same again.  Chris Barley, who has been the main organiser of them all,  died very suddenly two weeks after this trip. Although Chris will be sorely missed by all his freinds I’m sure he’ll still bring many a grin to us all whenever we head for the hills (and on many other occasions) as we recall the countless memories he has left us.
