Each September group of us from the Spey Valley Sailing Club take a trip over to Gairloch to take part in the Old Inn Challenge, an inter club dinghy regatta which is always eventful. Following the end of the racing on the Sunday someone who shall remain nameless, (but is old enough to have known better!) suggested that we go for a sail around Longa Island. This turned into a six hour epic where we were becalmed and most were eventually towed into harbour by a passing yacht. The views were however spectacular, we were visited by a group of dolphins and we made it ashore just in time to see a really spectacular sunset.
The following day a few of us set off in fresher winds for a sail to Badachro for a pub lunch
